One of the many sensations at ProWein, the world's biggest wine fair, which ended yesterday, was the appearance of Kylie Minogue. It is one of the singer and actress's many ventures, but probably one of the most successful, as the Rosé Collections and Prosecco Rosé are the best-selling wines in the UK, with Prosecco Rosé being number one. But their wines can also be bought in Germany, e.g. at Heinemann, the Duty Free retailer. It is not her own winery, but a partnership with Benchmark Drinks, an English drinks distributor who have also made wines with Gary Barlow and Gordon Ramsay. The Kylie Minogue wines originate in France, Italy, Australia and Spain.

Kylie herself confessed to the assembled journalists:

"I still consider myself a real beginner in the in the wine, the world of wine. So it's very exciting to be here at the pro wine event and to be mingling and meeting and be inspired by so many people who are, you know, this is their world, This is what they do. For me, it's like I've got my day job making music and performing and all of that.

So this is this is brand new for me, but I'm very involved and very passionate about about learning and developing.

And I I'm in it for the long run. Well, I guess it's great to be. I've had a very lovely welcome to Dusseldorf. So it's nice to be back in Germany for a start. I think if if we'd had the opportunity to be at a pro UN event last year, we probably weren't ready."

On the subject of non-alcoholic wines, she confessed:

"Otherwise, I love having a glass. At the end of the day, with my family in Australia, it was probably about a year ago I became aware that the 0% alcohol trend was was gaining speed. And probably more importantly than that, I just felt like I wanted to have something to offer people who don't drink alcohol.

This is the more you think about it. There's so many reasons one might not choose to have a glass of normal wine, and I, I really wanted to make that part of the portfolio. And I'm, I honestly, I've got to say, for me, it really rounds it out. It kind of makes the range more of a hug that people have the option of having 0% alcohol, wine and I am super proud."

Kylie Minogue Wines have won several awards, including three Golds at the Drinks Business Wine Awards and Best Côtes de Provence Rosé and Zero Percent Alcohol at the Peoples Choice Wine Awards 2023. The wines are also offered by well-known sommeliers such as Annabel's in London and Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle Hotel in New York.

Art Cologne 2022. The results. The art market works. Figures reported. Art Cologne came to an end today. Now taking place in autumn, Art Cologne was well prepared, with a new hall layout, wide plazas, floor strips and security. Around 43,000 people visited the fair to see the curated range of contemporary works, classical modernism and post-war German art. It was questionable how the results would turn out, given the energy crisis and the Ukraine war: Read on if you're interested in numbers.
