The SMOG FREE TOWER is the world's first smog hoover, according to Danish environmental artist Daan Roosegaarde. It is intended to create parks with cleaner air and is therefore preferentially placed in these locations. It is part of the long-term Smog Free campaign, where Daan Roosegaarde is looking for solutions for clean air.

What it is:

According to Studio Roosegaarde, the 7-metre high SMOG FREE TOWER uses a patented positive ionisation technology to create smog-free air in public spaces.

The developers have equipped the tower with environmentally friendly technology so that 30,000 m3 per hour can be purified and only a small amount of green electricity is consumed. The SMOG FREE TOWER is also used in parks. According to Roosegarde, the results have already been validated by the Eindhoven University of Technology.

To spread its SMOG FREE TOWER, the studio is entering into workshops with governments, universities and the clean-tech industry. SMOG FREE PROJECT campaigns have been launched in South Korea, China, the Netherlands, Mexico and Poland.
