Sir Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula One World Champion, will be the first Valentino menswear DI.VAs on stage for the Valentino Pink PP advertising campaign.

 

DI.fferent VA.lues = DIVAS. DI.VAs is a character created by Valentino for the new Meanswear collection. Valentino's Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli continues his progressive way of creating culture. Personalities from cinema, music, literature to sports, become testimonials of his new vision for menswear. Different faces that carry the modern mantra of empathy and connection.

 

Hamilton embodies Pierpaolo Piccioli's values with his authenticity, individuality and commitment to global equality. Considered one of the most successful drivers in Formula One, Lewis is committed to using his position and platform to drive change in motorsport and for future generations. In 2021, Lewis launched his own charitable foundation, Mission 44, which aims to support young people from under-represented groups in the UK through strategic partnerships, collaborations, grants and advocacy.

Valentino's new identity:

Valentino's identity is now revealed in a clear and concise sign. A broad community of different individuals. It is individual and yet choral. It has no borders and no barriers and lives in the here and now. An identity that is reflected in a new generation. 

 

Maison Valentino will create meaning in the places that matter most to it and transcend the boundaries of a traditional campaign. In line with Valentino's appreciation for the written word, Hamilton will also work on Valentino the Narratives, the industry's first text-only campaign, inviting renowned international writers and personalities to lend their voices to create individual and impactful campaign layouts. This autumn, Hamilton will contribute a personal quote on the theme of "love" to this initiative, which will be displayed in selected windows of independent bookshops in London.

For the VALENTINO PINK PP COLLECTION head designer Pierpaolo Piccioli created dresses with the experimental drive of a radical gesture. The color palette was reduced to a single shade of pink, created together with the Pantone Color Institute. The color pink created a unique identity in the show, it was an absolute individuality and unrepeatability.
