Holladihiti! Biggest Otto Waalkes exhibition ever

Until 24 September at the headquarters of the Walentowski Gallery in Werl

Düsseldorf, 14 September 2022: Until 24 September, lovers of the artistry of comedy legend Otto Waalkes still have the opportunity to see the largest exhibition of his works to date. The approximately 150 works, including unique pieces, will be presented by the Walentowski Galerie at its headquarters in Werl. The Walentowski Gallery is a family business with 16 locations, even a floating one on the TUI Cruises Mein Schiff Herz.

On display are paintings such as Ottifant sunning himself in a beach chair on Sylt or Udo Lindenberg riding a flamingo through London. The art of Otto Waalkes is delightfully crazy, for his pictures not only have the typical Otto humour, but have meanwhile also become collectors' items. Otto Waalkes, one of Germany's most important comedians, actually studied art education and painting and only wanted to finance his studies with his stage performances. According to his gallery owner, Otto paintings are now being sold for five to six-figure sums. At the opening, the ottifantastic art was marvelled at by many celebrities such as: Jan Josef Liefers, Anna Loos, Werner Schulze-Erdel, Verena Kerth, Roman Weidenfeller with family, Jürgen Kadel, Uli Stein with family, Klaudia Giez, Davin Herbrüggen, Daniel Buder, Bruno Eyron, Alexandra Hofmann, Schäfer Heinrich, Annabel Anderson, Jodie Calussi, Michel Friess, Ralf Leidinger, Thomas Jankowski, Tanja Kiesewalter.
