The Rosso Valentino is an essential chapter in the history of Maison Valentino, red is synonymous with the rise and aesthetic identity of fashion.

The initial question was: how many shades of Rosso Valentino are there in the house's archives?

The answer is: more than 550 different shades in the couture creations alone. Pierpaolo Piccioli and his team researched the red creations and the infinite variations up to his invention of today's Valentino PINK PP (Alethea&Art reported on this legendary collection).

Pierpaolo Piccioli wanted to share his study of colour with the brand's community and so the collaboration with Assouline was born. The new title, Valentino Rosso, will be available in selected bookstores as well as on the Assouline website and in Assouline and Valentino boutiques from autumn 2022.

VALENTINO PINK PP COLLECTION

AUTUMN WINTER 22-23

The most beautiful looks and backstage photos

For the VALENTINO PINK PP COLLECTION head designer Pierpaolo Piccioli created dresses with the experimental drive of a radical gesture. The color palette was reduced to a single shade of pink, created together with the Pantone Color Institute. The color pink created a unique identity in the show, it was an absolute individuality and unrepeatability. The pink dresses harmonized even in different fabric variations, buttons or hardware - a masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship.
