Düsseldorf, 22 September 2022: After the radically beautiful Valentino Pink PP Autumn/Winter 2022-23 there is more news from Maison Valentino. Fashion and art fans can look forward to digital Valentino art projects & party series in the hottest clubs worldwide.


Valentino Pink PP, a colour evolution by chief creative officer Pierpaolo Piccioli from the Maison's archive of over 500 shades of red, is set to unfold in metropolises around the globe from September with special initiatives and installations, according to the designer. The designer calls his plan the global Pink PP explosion. What can one expect? The house talks of guerrilla projections, including a new façade covering of the Valentino boutique on Rue St. Honoré in Paris. In London, for example, there are even said to be pink buses and pink phone boxes! The Valentino Autumn/Winter 2022-23 collection is now arriving in boutiques worldwide, whose windows and interiors are undergoing pink makeovers, and in some boutiques, certificates of authenticity in Pink PP will be issued for the clothes purchased.

Valentino Pink PP, eine Farbweiterentwicklung des Chefkreativen Pierpaolo Piccioli aus dem Archive des Maison mit über 500 Rottönen, soll sich nach Angaben des Designers ab September in Metropolen rund um den Globus mit speziellen Initiativen und Installationen entfalten. Der Designer bezeichnet seinen Plan als die globale Pink PP-Explosion. Was kann man erwarten? Das Haus spricht von Guerilla-Projektionen, einschließlich einer neuen Fassadenverkleidung der Valentino-Boutique in der Rue St. Honoré in Paris. In London z.B. soll es sogar pinke Busse und pinke Telefonzellen geben! Die Valentino Herbst/Winter 2022-23 Kollektion kommt jetzt in die weltweiten Boutiquen, deren Schaufenster und Innenräume gerade pink umgestaltet werden und in manchen Boutiquen werden für die gekauften Kleider Echtheitszertifikate in Pink PP ausgestellt.

Pierpaolo Picccioli has worked at Maison Valentino for 23 years; he started as an accessories designer. From 2008, he managed the brands together with Maria Grazia Chiuri, now Dior's head designer, before heading it alone since 2016. Since Picccioli has been in charge of design, annual sales have grown from €200 million in 2008 to €1.36 billion in 2021. In an interview with Jacopo Bedussi and Teo van den Broeke for GQ, Piccioli said his goal was to achieve broader change in fashion and society. He said he was happy to speak his political mind and also to break marketing rules. He said it was about bringing in other identities and communities and using his role to open up those worlds.

Pierpaolo Picccioli arbeitet seit 23 Jahren bei Maison Valentino; begonnen hat er als Accessoires Designer. Seit 2008 führte er die Marken gemeinsam mit Maria Grazia Chiuri, der heutigen Dior Chefdesignerin, bevor er sie seit 2016 alleine leitet. Seit Picccioli das Design bestimmt, wuchs der jährliche Umsatz von €200 Millionen in 2008 zu €1.36 Milliarden in 2021. In einem Interview mit Jacopo Bedussi and Teo van den Broeke für die GQ sagte Piccioli, dass es sein Ziel sei, einen breiteren Wandel in Mode und Gesellschaft zu erreichen. Er sei froh, seine politische Meinung sagen zu können und auch Marketing-Regeln zu brechen. Es ginge ihm darum, andere Identitäten und Gemeinschaften einzubringen und seine Rolle zu nutzen, um diese Welten zu öffnen.

The sculpture, which weighs over 1 tonne, is a projection screen that symbolises the electronic waste that German households produce in 72 seconds. Thus, theoretically, an army of 1,000 Wertgigants is created each time within 20 hours - comparable to the 1,000 Trash People by HA Schult.
